Inclined lift Ehrenberg Liner
To make the view and history of Ehrenberg accessible to everyone, it was decided to construct an inclined lift in Ehrenberg. By constructing the inclined lift, the approx. 110 m difference in altitude between the visitor centre and the station at the hornwork can be negotiated in just 2.5 minutes.
From the mountain/hornwork station, a flat paved path leads directly to the exhibition in the hornwork and to the portal of the spectacular suspension bridge highline179. Thus even those with impaired mobility and older people can now visit these two attractions in the Ehrenberg Castle Ruins. The footpath to the Ehrenberg Ruin with its unique view into Reutten valley basin can now also be considerably shortened thanks to the inclined lift.
The permit for the construction of the Ehrenberg inclined lift was handed over on 8 June 2018. The construction project was started on 1 August 2018 and the inclined lift can be used by visitors since 12 April 2019.
